New features in my blog :)

Hello there!! I’m in a pretty darn good mood today 🙂

Anyhow new features in my blog, heheh. Just thought I’d mention them.

Chapter two of my album is now open to everyone, I just though it was a bit ridiculous since I don’t have those many followers, but to those who are following my blog thank you so much! And sorry!

New widgets!! The first one is called the milestone in wordpress: it’s basically a countdown to the next event in Wild World, thought that would be helpful, heheh. And the next one is called the monthly poll, well… pretty self explanatory, I ask you a question and you can vote! Each month the question will change, be sure to vote!!

I created a tumblr!!! I must say though, that tumblr is very new to me and I think it’s not as fun as wordpress, although I do like the way you can just reblog a picture and such. For now my tumblr is extremely simple and a little ugly ahahah.

And last but not least (just thought I’d mention this) today I wrote the second part of my story “Perfection meets chaos” The tittle sounds quite dramatic, hahah but remember I’m only a 14 year old, and I live in Spain, so my stories aren’t that great… But I enjoy writing and I had this idea for a story and I think it’s turning out pretty good (remember: i’m 14, Spain). I think I’ll upload the first part tomorrow? Maybe I can write part 3 today as well, so that I’m well ahead and have enough time for everything.

Oh but wait! To all you Nintendo 3DS buyers, do you have the XL one? Is the average 3DS really tiny? And please be patient, because I’ll probably order the 3DS for Christmas, and there’s 6 months to go! But I have a way to at least be 90% sure I’ll get it.

Picture this: me, I’m in a store and I see the ACNL game, OMG!! Let’s buy it! So I purchase it, then I realize, “oh oh, this only works with the 3DS, well that just means I’ll have to buy a Nintendo 3DS!” Huh, what do you think? Hahahah, yeah, pretty lame, but I think it could end up working!

Back blogging? + New Album chapter

Hey there everyone! Wow this feels weird… Anyway I visited my blog again a few days ago and looked at all the private posts I had, I then also looked through my computer folder “ACWWBOOK” and found a hole lot of half done projects/posts that just never got published.

Have you ever watched Ghost Whisperer? You know, where the souls can’t move on because they have some “unfinished business” well it’s kinda what’s happening to me, lol. I’ve finally started summer vacation and I thought it would be nice if I got a little back into blogging, although if I don’t get a 3DS with New Leaf these posts will be absolutely pointless… But I’m a 14 year old girl, and despite how everyone I’ve asked in real life kind of thinks it’s a complete waste of money or just ridiculous/childish, I think it’s fine that I still like Animal Crossing.

Blah, blah, blah stop talking, Jemma!! Fine, okay. I guess what I’m just trying to say is that I want to publish these projects once and for all because I spent quite some time on them, and they were incredibly fun, but I’m tired of them just laying around staring at me… it’s quite disturbing 😛

So less than a minute ago I published a new album chapter. Scroll your mouse over this blog’s page titled “Official Album!” and click “Special Chapter” to view it!! What do you think?

Goodbye + A few fun stuff!

Hi guys! So it’s been more than a month since I posted and it’s honestly because I haven’t touched Animal Crossing, maybe I’m tired of the game, or I’m more interested in other stuff (like reading), I’ve started school so I’m busier… Anyways, I’m sorry but I won’t force myself to read less and study less to play a game, and I won’t force myself to practice less sports to play a game, I think I have a better “schedule” for doing better in school this year and if it doesn’t include playing Animal Crossing, I’ll go with that.

I want to say that this year and a few months I’ve had blogging have really been great, I want to thank everyone I met (if I could I’d hug you guys so tight!!) and just need everyone to know that you don’t know how much you’ve helped me, just by visiting the blog was a reason to smile, to keep writing in English (remember I’m in Spain so English is hard for me), to keep learning. And I owe even a bigger thank you to all my loyal cyber-friends, I can’t even call you cyber-friends you’re like real friends to me! It was so nice just to be able to think “hey, I have a great friend in the Philippines!”, “maybe since I visit the U.S.A every year or so I could pass by Amy without even noticing it! 🙂 or “I wonder how Teru lives, I’d love to go to Australia”…

Actually, I just realized in barely each post I start with a “hey guys!” without actually knowing everyone’s name. Someone could say that’s just rude, or not worth it, or it’s talking to weird strangers, even talking to yourself! I’ve learned to think about it as blogging, as writing to someone you don’t really know, what you do know about them is that they’re reading this, and making them smile or learn is your job, it’s the job of a blogger :’)

Guess what I really wanted to say was simply thank you. For reading this, for visiting my blog, for following, for commenting, for helping me with blogging… Thanks! And so long my dear friends!

Wait!! Before I go I wanted to share with you some art I created, it’s pretty ridiculous actually, you’re allowed to laugh at it all you want! But hey! I had never touched photoshop before creating these, and why did I create these? For you!! So make fun of them, even of me, all you want. As long as you laugh… (click to see larger)

EDIT: I feel terribly bad for not finishing a few projects I had told you guys about, if you have a blog maybe you can use some of the ideas I had in mind for your own contest/project. Maybe I’ll end up publishing someday absolutely everything I had prepared for the contest, probably not since it wouldn’t really help anyone I guess. But anyway, so those projects (again I’m so, so sorry!! 😦 ) are canceled and free to copy any information I gave about them. Thanks, and I’m sorry 😦

Anyway so that is what I created, it’s inspired by a Sims3 cover, the way there’s the logo in the middle and around it images from the game. I really like the idea I had, but as always, I’m not a very good artist, so I couldn’t exactly represent it on paper the way I had it in my mind… Oh well! At least I tried 🙂

And now, it is officially the goodbye! I’ll maybe do a post who knows when, but for now I am saying goodbye.

Again thanks for everything and… AGH!! It’s just this is actually very hard to do, I think it would’ve been easier to just leave without a goodbye, but I owed you guys this, I owed this blog an end. But come on! I just can’t say goodbye for the last time 😦

Long time no post! Yup, sorry about that! I started school so I’m really limiting myself to publish much less than before, I want to work harder and do better than last year.  Anyway, I’ve spent some time looking threw Tumblr for AC3DS news and wanted to show you guys some images. None are made by me, they are copied from Tumblr’s AC3DS tag page. So the only thing that I’ll be doing is publishing them here and commenting about them.

Starting off by showing you the Japanese Official Box art, you can see a male character with his secretary deciding what seems to be what ground object to place in their town, and speaking about those, further in the right side of the image you can see the most adorable neighbor (he looks like a fat chipmunk, aww!!) playing in a specimen playground toy, I don’t know what it’s called in English but I’m sure you know what I mean.

To the right we see a female character purchasing some chairs from the furniture store, water around the town with some islands and in the middle, a big tree that seems to represent the town somehow, as we see it here:

Where the character is planting it, and there are neighbors around clapping and cheering. If this image is of exactly what happens in the game (not some manual image that makes the game look further detailed) they have taken planting trees to a hole new level, with the sapling much more realistic.

Right here we see the female character in what seems to be in her office, working I guess. We can also see a portrait of Tortimer hanging over the wall, and also a clock hanging from it. Just in case you don’t know it yet; yes, your character will be the mayor of the town and will have a secretary with you at all times (let’s actually hope not literally at all times).

Being a mayor includes making decisions for your town, like choosing which type of town you could get, I was really surprised with this feature and also excited, which village would you choose?

And in this image we talk a little bit about character fashion, some of these outfits are new, just like tons of stuff in this game. But it’s not really the new stuff that interests me, it’s more the new features added in the game. Like the one where your character is taller, and for that you can buy not only accessories and shirts/dresses but pants or skirts and even shoes!!

This picture simply looks amazing, all the colors, the chairs, the blanket, the picnic basket, the female character drinking coffee on the go…!! This confirms Cherry Blossoms will stay in your town, probably during spring, that is great. But… uh oh! Barely at the top of the image, do you see kind of like a wasted path… maybe animal tracks come with the AC3DS version. I’ve never actually experienced them since I don’t have city folk, but I’ve heard people weren’t very happy with them, a town without grass… yikes! I really hope animal tracks aren’t included in the game.

AC3DS, for what we’ve seen gives us a completely customized town, you can add/remove/customize barely anything in this game, and as shown in this image, even our houses!! The first one looks like a kiddie look, next one on the top right looks like a cabin series house, left bottom seems like a futuristic one and, last but not least, looks like a house with a Japanese look!

And something I was truly happy about was the opening of new stores in town, even Brewster has his own store in this town that’s not in the museum (as shown the the top left image).

That’s all it for now, maybe I’ll add some other AC3DS post since I found these really fun to make, and the US version of the game isn’t coming out until 2013.

Happy August!?!

Hey, hello, hi! Happy Summer xD

So since I will be on vacation all August I decided to do a mega post for everyone!!

So, probably in all August there is only going to be one post, and it’s probably going to be this one, since I am not coming back until the last days of August and I’ll need some rest before I even get back blogging. So this is the only post, and I want to make it long, hopefully interesting, and with some advertisements of blogs you can visit instead of mine.

Part one: Contest Leak

Remember way back when I talked about a closing my blog for some days, to prepare it for some contest? So I have everything ready but I’m searching for alternatives to closing my blog, any ideas? So, anyway here’s a more detailed explanation of the contest.

I will hide 100 bell icons ( credits to Mayu) all over my blog that when you click on them they lead you to a sign like for example:

The objective is to get as close as my usa Animal Crossing town as possible, this way winning points.

There are signs with 20 miles (like the example), after that one there’s a 15 miles one, a 10 miles one, a 5 and lastly a welcome to usa sign, here are how I calculate the points:

• Welcome sign= 5 points
• 5 miles sign= 4 points
• 10 miles sign= 3 points
• 15 miles sign= 2 points
• 20 miles sign= 1 point.

Every time you find a sign you must leave a private comment (just type in private comment anywhere) saying for example:

I have found a sign worth __ points: (link image here)

And it’s simple, the user with most points wins! Of course there are prizes! 😀

Part two: a note to all my beloved friends!

I consider everyone that comes to visit my blog a friend, but this note goes especially to everyone who has commented on my blog, who has always been so nice to me… I think you know if you’re a very special friend to me, that’s why I won’t name you guys in this section, because I’d probably name a bunch of people 😛

I feel very, very happy just chatting with you guys, every time you guys leave a comment on my blog I smile, every time we wifi, or simply every time I know for sure all of you are there, supporting me if I do something wrong and always helping me so much! Part Five: Extra Chapter

Yeah, since my blog is kind of “book” themed, I’ve decided to give it an Extra Chapter (that’s surely not the last one) so you will be seeing me publishing lots of new original stuff, projects, contests… including a project both Emma and I came up with and that we will be doing together, which I will not leak any information so you’ll just have to wait! I can only tell you the idea sounds very exciting and I am truly curious to see how it turns out!!

So, everything comes to an end, and this is me saying goodbye and until September everyone! Remember to try and catch plenty of bugs because almost everyone of them is available in July but especially try to catch those tarantulas, because it’s the last month you’ll be able to!!

How to… Catch Tarantulas and Scorpions: Step by step

Hello sweet pumpkins 😛 How’s summer going? Catching plenty of bugs, remember in August 42 of the 56 bugs in Animal Crossing Wild World are available to catch, including Tarantulas and Scorpions.

Since they’re the 2 hardest bugs to catch for most people, I decided to do a little step by step tutorial that will both help me and you to catch these nasty little bugs!

So let’s start by getting to know better these little (or big) bugs

Okay, so know that we know when and where to catch them, the bells they put in our pockets (or the occupation in our museum) we can try to catch them. Pay attention and listen to me when I say do NOT hold a net, if you do and the Scorpion or Tarantula sees you it will run to attack you!

Notes: These bugs will not appear when it’s raining/snowing or when the gate is open.

1. WITHOUT holding a net I’d recommend  just plugging  in some headphones to our nintendo and start listening to our game, naturally, not inside any building, just outside. Meanwhile you can read something, write, play games without a lot of noise…
2. Whenever you hear a bug sound pickup your nintendo and check if you see a Tarantula or a Scorpion, if you don’t but you still hear the noise, walk around very slowly looking for the bug, also keep your eyes open for other bugs that might have mistaken you with their sound. Remember, do NOT hold a net!!!
3. If you have spotted your catch of the day, it’s time to spot their back. If you see a Scorpion, it’s easy, just look for its tail. And if you see a Tarantula it gets a little more complicated; try advancing slowly towards it (not holding a net) until it moves a bit, be careful not to scare it too much or it might end up running in the ocean/river. The opposite direction that it moved will be its back.
4. Now, sneak up upon them from behind (where they can’t see you) and when you’re 100% sure they can’t see you bring out your net, advance just the right distance and…
5. WAP! Swing your net and hope for the best!

Happy 4th of July!!!

I wasn’t sure if I’d do this post but since I’ve got American blood in me I told myself “why not?” I don’t obligate anyone to read my blog or absolutely anything I publish so if there’s anyone against this day for some reason wait until my next post that will come soon or read about, if you haven’t already, the new exchange student who has come to town!

So, for those who don’t know, the 4th of July also known as Independence day is the day when the United States declared independence from Great Britain, in 1776.

On this day everyone goes out on the streets and trows tons of fireworks, parades and even political speeches because this day is also the national day of the United States!

But this blog is, after all, about Animal Crossing so I can’t go on and on with a post about the 4th of July, what I can do is mix both of these topics into a fun fan art, tell me what you think in the comments below:

Talking about the future

Important Updates:

3. A new post is coming tomorrow in celebration of a very special day… you know, 4th of July… 😛

Howdy everyone! Sadly I don’t have time to create a post with pictures, long text, stories, exciting news (in other words; a fun post) so I will tell you simply what is coming soon in this blog.

Now it has been very long since I published something, mostly because I don’t have time and also because I have 4 draft posts that have to be continued and I don’t know which one to continue first.

Anyways, have said that I will tell you what’s coming soon, so you can at least imagine that you’re reading a fun post:

1. New chapter of the Album, only for subscribers
2. Two new stories or three, it depends if I get inspiration to continue the third one.
3. A post with Animal Crossing Fan Art made by me and the long awaited official logo.
4. A post all about the history of Animal Crossing, reviews about it… basically a research I did about it.
5. New June exchange student coming to usa, she’s a little late -.-
6. An update post on Ebatong

Number 1, 3, 4 and 6 are the discontinued posts I was telling you about. And number 2 and 5 are files in my computer.

I just wanted you to know that I am working hard on this blog, and I’m trying my best to get these ideas out if my head of closing it for some time, I just need a little more time to settle down. Once again, I am very sorry.

PS: For those who were asking there selves about this: the contest I announced here is planned for after summer. I will try to get rid of all these future posts I announced before and afterwords close my blog for 2-3 days and start the contest, which I think and hope it is fun for all of you!

Opening of the new page and category

AC:WW Exchange Students Page

Say hello to my empty down-left bed, where every month someone new will be moving in!

Chris has moved from my town, and what used to be his bed will be the “exchange student bed” so every month I will update the page “Exchange Students” with the information of a new student.

There will be a story that unites all students, that you’ll find out slowly when you read the characteristics of a few characters and, also, some students come with a story written by me.

Have any crazy or completely normal character you would like me to have? Request it, by saying a short description of how you want them to be, and if you want, the hair and face you would like them to have.

Warning: If I change something of your requested character, I’m really sorry, but I did it to fit him/her in with the story.

Check out usa’s first exchange student that has already been published in the “Exchange Students” page!!!

PS: I’ve never seen this on any blog, or have any sort of example to follow, this really just depends on the best I can do, so I’m really sorry if you spot some mistakes or don’t like how it’s turning out.

New category

Like I said before, some of the characters come with a story, so the story will be published in a category called “Student Stories”.  Please don’t expect a lot from this category, it’s very basic, and the posts in it will be pretty short stories (four paragraphs or so).

Complications

Hey everyone, I haven’t been posting lately, and it’s because wordpress wasn’t working very well, lately I didn’t really have time to do so and when I did have time I wasn’t in the mood to post.

I will publish Kammile’s party whenever I have time and I just wanted to say I’m really sorry for being absent for over 20 days, although I did comment and send e-mails, I just have not been posting anything.

I have been thinking about closing my blog 2 or 3 days to prepare it for a contest I have planned, you don’t even need the Animal Crossing game to participate and I will hide some special icons all around my blog, that’s basically all I can say for now. And my blog would be closed because I want to have all the icons hidden before I re-open it, I’ll post more info and concrete days of when my blog will be closed, open and about the contest.

For everyone who may jump to conclusions: I am not planning on closing my blog, I still have many things planned for this blog, that includes the contest I mentioned above and a new page that comes with a new category.

Please don’t think I will quit or start posting once every year until I say so, if I ever think of quitting I would tell you, but since I’m not telling you… Don’t worry and be happy! Oh, and I almost forgot: Happy very late Easter! Here’s a picture of Jemma dressed up as a bunny from my winter power point:
