Happy 4th of July!!!

I wasn’t sure if I’d do this post but since I’ve got American blood in me I told myself “why not?” I don’t obligate anyone to read my blog or absolutely anything I publish so if there’s anyone against this day for some reason wait until my next post that will come soon or read about, if you haven’t already, the new exchange student who has come to town!

So, for those who don’t know, the 4th of July also known asย Independenceย day is the day when the United States declared independence from Greatย Britain, in 1776.

On this day everyone goes out on the streets and trows tons of fireworks, parades and even political speeches because this day is also the national day of the United States!

But this blog is, after all, about Animal Crossing so I can’t go on and on with a post about the 4th of July, what I can do is mix both of these topics into a fun fan art, tell me what you think in the comments below:

So I really hope you enjoyed it and happy Independence Day!! Bye, bye!

  1. Haha, happy fourth of july Jemma! I’ll be going out to dinner and might watch some fireworks on TV later if I feel like it. xP Your fan art is so cute and appropriate because of your town name!

    • I hope you had fun at your dinner!
What do you prefer, watching the fireworks or throwing little ones on your own? I like throwing them but the ones you see on tv or in the celebration are always fantastic!

      Thank you for the comment!

      • Thanks, the dinner was great! I’ve never thrown my own fireworks before, it sounds like it would be funner in a way than watching from a distance. But I also think you have to be careful with those, that they can be dangerous if used incorrectly? It turns out I didn’t watch the fireworks on TV, I didn’t feel good last night. Oh well. Hope your day was good! ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Oh yes, they can be very dangerous but if you’re careful and you double-check everything before lighting them they’re very fun, especially with friends!

I’m sorry you weren’t feeling so great, but I’m still glad you had a nice dinner, my day was also good, although I didn’t celebrate it because I’m in Spain making the fan art was pretty fun ๐Ÿ˜€

    • Thanks, Darlene!
I did a picture of Jemma watching tv and with photoshop deleted the inside of the screen to put the image I previously created, then I just pasted in another image of Jemma digging up a turnip, the 4th of July sign. And I added some detail to the total image (such as the background color and the image of the United States) and that was pretty much it, it was easy to do!
It’s not very well explained but I didn’t want to make this comment too long, although if you’d like to do something like this just have a clear idea and start playing around with all sorts of programs, tools… until you’re satisfied ๐Ÿ™‚

        • Haha, I didn’t pay for it, it came with a drawing tablet I purchased, it was a special edition offer that for more or less $10 more you got photoshop included ๐Ÿ™‚

It was a very good deal, because photoshop can cost you more than $100!

            • It’s a Wacom Bamboo. It’s not one of the best ones out there but I really just needed it to have fun drawing and having an easier time with pictures/videos since I love digital editing. ๐Ÿ™‚

I really recommend it to you!

              • Oh, What a coincidence, I’m earning money to buy that too. ๐Ÿ˜€ I keep drawing in a mouse. xDD My fingers will die from clicking a hundred times every 2 minutes! ๐Ÿ˜†

  2. hahaha! I’ve been getting “the fireworks are so pretty/annoying/so loud!” on twitter!! xDD

It must be fun to celebrate the fourth of july.. too bad i’m not american. ๐Ÿ˜† whoa, you got american blood? :O LOL, fun facts of Jemma! ๐Ÿ˜†

    • Haha, Twitter hashtags I guess (I don’t really know how Twitter works ๐Ÿ˜› )

      Lol, yeah I’m part American!
I’ll be happy on doing more pictures, they’re very fun to do!

      • hahaha! ๐Ÿ˜† Even if my country isn’t America, I heard some fireworks around 3 or 6 PM-ish.. LOL. and the first thing i thought. “My country has 4th of July?!” ๐Ÿ˜†

Oh, that’s nice! I’m half spanish and chinese. xDD

that sounds nice. ๐Ÿ™‚ i thought your just doing it because of the sake of your blog, some people do that! i’m glad to see someone having fun doing it. ๐Ÿ˜›

          • Not really. ๐Ÿ˜† I have chinese blood but i’m sometimes mistaken as a Japanese person. ๐Ÿ˜†

I only know spanish because some of words on our country has spanish too. ๐Ÿ˜€ but we also learned (and took tests!) spanish words when i was grade 5. hahaha.

  3. I have the bamboo tablet too!!! And is amazing ๐Ÿ˜‰ Well jemma I have to say that I love your fan art of the usa day!!! So I’m not from United States but happy USA DAY!
